If you purchase CargoTel’s TMS, we offer a fully integrated wireless package, including handheld driver wireless units, an application that resides on the unit, and seamless communication with your TMS on all dispatch and tracking related data.
If you already have a TMS in place, and would like a standalone wireless system, we write an interface to your existing TMS, and capture shipment and dispatch data from your existing database. This information is accessible to drivers or other employees on a wireless device, such as a ruggedized cellular phone or data terminal. Drivers can use their wireless device to:
- Receive dispatch and load information
- Update the status of shipments with their phone
- Receive load routing and GPS mapping
- Scan and read barcodes from documents or vehicles
- Provide other services, like electronic signature capture and mobile printing
- Accomplish inspections and other advanced tasks directly with their mobile phone
In addition, there are a variety of system management features and reports that will allow you to better manage your dispatch operation and personnel.
